Arguments Against: -– - I would have expected other Scratchers to report this trojan too. If the infected files are disinfected/cleaned by Scratch overnight, this would explain why I can download the files the next day. But all Scratch files may be scanned overnight on the Scratch servers. Scratch may not recognize this virus instantly (dynamically). Scans of my files on my PC have not shown any infection. Arguments For: - Windows Defender Security Defender has only reported this infection when trying to download one of my projects from Scratch online. My Theory -– I think it is more likely that some of my projects may have been infected by this trojan by Scratch online rather than originating from my PC. It has only reported this infection when trying to download one of my projects from Scratch online. Windows Defender Security Defender scans have never reported any infections on my PC. I have not had the error again when downloading files recently. Windows Defender Security Defender no longer identifies “30 Second Art” as containing a trojan. But the next day, the projects could be downloaded and were not identified as containing a virus/trojan. *** Updates *** The “30 Second Art” and other infected projects were flagged by Windows Defender Security Defender each time I tried to download them. * Is it possible that this Trojan attaches itself to some projects in Scratch? I have just left the downloaded projects quarantined on my PC or deleted them. Affected Items: file: C:\Users\Admin\Documents\Scratch Mike Programs\30 Second Art.sb2 My project “30 Second Art”,, (unshared for obvious reasons) is one of these projects.
